Pushing Daisies style manual

When it comes to writing and development, I tend to only think in terms of dramatic features — whether fully scripted, semi-scripted, or non-scripted — with an occasional reality TV idea sprinkled in. Sometimes a bigger concept strikes me, and recently I’ve started toying around with developing a few longer-format projects, and while researching what exactly the hell a TV production bible is I stumbled across this little beauty: the “style manual” for the ABC series Pushing Daisies. Aimed at helping orientate new directors to the show, it also really helps wannabe writers like myself by giving a quick rundown of the show’s aesthetic qualities and how they help to tell the story. Take a look, it’s pretty interesting stuff!
